Empowering Communities Through Technology: A Tech101 Initiative

At Tech101, we believe technology is a powerful tool for positive social change. In the aftermath of the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake, we saw an opportunity to bridge the digital divide and empower young minds in Sindhupalchok, one of the most affected areas.

We partnered with local schools and the esteemed "Educating Nepal" organization, led by the dedicated Bonod and Ashirbad. Together, we secured over 10 Raspberry Pi devices, compact computers ideal for educational purposes. Our team, including Suredra from Tech101, embarked on a dedicated six-month program.

Every Saturday, Suredra traveled to Sindhupalchok to conduct training sessions for over 90 children. These sessions introduced the students to basic computer skills and knowledge. Witnessing the transformation was truly inspiring. Children who had never seen a personal computer were soon creating drawings and navigating digital worlds, a testament to their enthusiasm and the power of technology education.

This initiative is a testament to Tech101's commitment to social responsibility. We believe in equipping future generations with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world. And by collaborating with local organizations like "Educating Nepal," we can ensure our efforts have a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
